Mallory Band
Band Together Education

In 2022, she founded Band Together Education, a community that helps each individual with ADHD and learning differences reach their full potential. This is her true passion, as she was diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety when she was eight and knows the power of asking for help and being supported by experts.

She continues to write and speak about her experiences with ADHD and anxiety, hoping she can help other individuals on their own journeys. She has been published in ADDitude Magazine and Attention Magazine. She has also spoken on numerous podcasts.

In November 2022, she will speak about “Imposter Syndrome” at CHADD International in Dallas, Texas. She is  currently working on publishing her first book.

She believes that building and fostering meaningful relationships with clients is the first step in creating a successful partnership. She is passionate about helping others realize and reach their true potential by instilling a growth-mindset approach to my coaching repertoire. She coaches students, young adults, and parents.

Providing Perspective through my ADHD Story

My Story

Hi, my name is Mallory Band and I was diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety when I was eight years old. I was always a straight-A student-athlete. On the outside, I appeared to be a seemingly happy child who had many friends. And while this was partially true, I struggled deeply holding everything together.

My combined type ADHD and anxiety created a tornado inside of my body, that wouldn’t allow my brain to turn off. Racing thoughts, worries, and ruminations ruled my life.

Everything I did was urgent. There was no differentiation between the urgency of having to take a shower, write a five paragraph essay, or reply to a text message. Everything carried the same weight in urgency. This was no way to live.

As I progress through adulthood, I have learned that I cannot change the brain that I was born with, but rather, I have the capability to update the tools I use to navigate through the complexities of life. I no longer need to use strategies that don’t serve me or my needs.

We all have our own, unique life experiences, but as a fellow-neurodivergent individual, I understand what it can be like living with ADHD and anxiety. It can be challenging, but I want you to know that whatever you are experiencing or feeling is valid.

It is my true calling to help support others in reaching their full potential. We, just like everyone else, deserve to live a full, happy, and sustainable life where we can embrace our differences and share our gifts with the rest of the world.
